Det är så here att min sambo (kille) har Ulcerös Kolit och Bechterews sjukdom. Han tar Humira för ryggen.
Nu är det så att vi vill gärna ha children tillsammans, but we dont know så mycket om ärftligheten av båda dessa sjukdommar, eller hur Humira påverkar hans spermier.
Är det någon who knows?

Anti-TNFα monoclonals, such as Humira, are not known to have any effect on fertility or sperm quality. He should be fine with his medication.

Both ulcerative colitis and ankylosing spondylitis are believed to have a complex mixed environmental/genetic etiology. Both are believed to be auto-immune related, so there may be a connection between the two conditions. While inheritance may somewhat increase your risk for developing these conditions, the genetic component is not very large (for example, an identical twin of a patient with these conditions will usually not have the disease, although their risk would be greater than average).

These kinds of mild-to-moderate genetic risks are not an absolute contraindication for having children, nor do they generally warrant any sort of embryonic/fetal screening. However, the child's future physician should be informed of the family history of such conditions.
