Low-dose Colchicine prevent amyloidosis

Dear all,
I have FMF and started taking low-dose Colchicine last month (one pill a day). All the symptoms of FMF have disappeared . But is this low dose enough to prevent amyloidosis?
PLEASE, ONLY THOSE WITH SOME KNOWLEDGE OF THE DISEASE
