Why didn't ambien work

So the last few weeks ive been having trouble sleeping, never have before. last few days ive been falling asleep around 10 or 11 and then waking up at like 2 or 3 in the morning and cant fall back asleep til like 6 or even 7 am! so last night i tried Ambien for the first time. I took one around 10 and i was asleep by prolly 1030. and the same thing happened! woke up at 245. I could tell i wasnt going to fall asleep netiem soon so i took another ambien and that one didnt even phase me. i didnt get tired or anything. just layed their awake knowing i wasnt going to fall back asleep anytime soon. so i prolly fell back asleep around 5 or 6 and woke up at 930 this morning. why didnt the ambeim work?

i sometimes do the same exact thing u do... do not think about anything n u will fall back to sleep in no time usually if i wake up n start thinking about stuff i will not be able to fall back to sleep so just dont think about anything n it will work n do not tell urself that ur not going to fall back to sleep or else u will not fall back to sleep its all in ur mind
