Ambien: Have you had any problems with the sleeping pill
I know I've asked this question before but some things I have not made clear and I will add more of the necessary details.

My mom a few years ago was given Ambien by her doctor so she could sleep. She would always get up and have food and start talking about nonsense things. She took the pill that same night again because she forgot that she had taken the first one. then she took a third. My mom is not the type of person to OD, so please do not think that. By then we caught her taking her forth one. We (me, my dad and my sister) tried to stop her from taking more. She started to get violent and was not herself. My mom is a very sweet and loving person and would never do anything to hurt anyone. It got to the point where we were taking the pills out of her mouth, because she honestly thought that she had not taken them. The next morning she woke up and did not recall anything from the previous night. We thought that she should be taken off of them but we decided to give it one more night to see if she was sleep walking, the same thing happened but she got in the car this time. Something awful could have happened.
My mom has a very hard time sleeping and she has awful migraines. She has since been taken off Ambien and nothing else has happened. I want to know if anyone else has had a family member or even you yourself have had this happen and if you have migraines? Thank you so much in advance!

And if you are taking them and you are reading please be cautious. This is not a good thing to be taking even if you are fine with them right now. Thank you.

sleep walking and amnesia are known side effects of this medication, your mom's doctor should have told her of the risks involved with taking Ambien, and you should definitely have not let her take them a second night after such a reaction the first time, have you no common sense?
Obviously she cannot tolerate the drug and should not take it. There are other sleep aids available, and not everyone is going to be able to take one or the other. Seriously, anyone experiencing such side effects the first time they take the drug, should NEVER give it another try.... just asking for trouble.

Addendum: I guess Jon the spammer doesn't realize that zolpidem IS Ambien....this guy is dangerous kids, report him as spam whenever you see him.
