Ambien makes you drunk

I was put on 10mg Ambien for insommnia(took me 2-6 hours for me to fall asleep everynight) and I was told to take 2 each night before bed. So I did what I was told too do, and took them. And after about 10 mins I felt tottaly trashed/ and high as a kite. It made me feel like I was drunk and stoned OUT OF MY FUCKING MIND! I was wondering if this is a normal reaction for other people taking the stuff?

it's because its making your body slow down and extremely tired, which it what some drugs do.

my mom took it and was very out of it. i took it was mildly helpful i am now takin mirtazapine to sleep i like it better

This is normal with any sleep aid - especially prescription sleep aids.This is why they say to take it within 30 minutes of wanting to go to bed and not to drive a car...

I have taken it in the past and was totally loaded. The walls and floors were moving in all sorts of different shapes. I had that most demonic dreams.
