A friend took an Ambien instead of her thyroid pill! What can negate the effects if anything

Is the ambien also a medication prescribed to your friend? If not, then he/she can probably just sleep off the effects...Ambien is just a short acting sleeping pill. However if your friend experiences other side effects contrary to what is normal, then I suggest bringing her to a doctor at once. Also, did your friend take the thyroid pill afterwards? Just observe what symptoms your friend experiences. He/she should be fine.
