if you want my opinion and it were me that could not sleep...I have this method..
works for me, but maybe try it. I tell myself that I should not sleep. that I need to keep myself up. put your head on the pillow and tell yourself that... keep mentioning that you need to stay up cause you are waiting for someone. After a while...the harder i try to keep awake...the faster I seem to fall to sleep.
I find this the best method if i dont want to drug up. lol this works for me...but were all different people..

No, I had the same problem once and I tried taking more and all it did was make me have blurred vision and a headache.

How long have you've been waiting to fall asleep? Less than 30 minutes? Times can vary for when ambien kicks in. If you have a full stomach its going to take way longer for the pill to kick in. If you feel like you're waiting to long, just try relaxing, drink a glass of warm milk, or take 1/2 of another ambien.

First of all you can take another one. They come in 5mg and 10mg tablets. Most people are prescribed the 5 but they do make a ten. Just be sure you don't need to wake up for any reason like a baby or work or something. Just in case you know!!!! Once your asleep you probably will stay asleep. How long ago did you take it? It might take bout 30min to one hour to work unless its the cr form.
