Withdrawal symptoms phenobarbital in epileptic dog?
I have an epileptic dog who is having awful side effects from phenobarbitol. My vet says we can discontinue but I'm interested in knowing what to expect.

I don't think they'll be any side effects other than a potential return to seizure activity. What about discussing introducting potassium bromide into your dogs medication, this means you can reduce the phenobarb dose and, hopefully, the side effects - have a chat with your vets, could be worth a try?
