ramipril 5 mg and atenolol 100 mg together for a healthy person
Hello,

I would like to get your help to know what side effects I can develop if I take the above dose. I am healthy but experienced some life problems; so that i thought it will be helpful to relax me if i take the above dose. I took it 3 hours ago. right now, i feel no complications, but i need some precautions. Thanks a lot

questions that we need to ask before we answer. are you taking this medication under prescription? why are you taking this as a 'healthy person'? why do you think that you may develop side effects? why do you think that this particular type of medication should relax you? do you know what this medication is prescribed for?

There's no known adverse interaction when the 2 drugs are taken together. Side effects of ramipril alone are: fatigue, dry cough, decreased sex drive and possible hypotension. For atenolol, possible side effects include: constipation, dry mouth, problems with sexual function, fatigue & difficulty sleeping/nightmares.

Like what LDS Mom said, it's puzzling that you thought that these 2 would help you relax. Unless it was prescribed to you by your doctor, you shouldn't take it. These drugs are usually given to hypertensive patients and you mentioned that you are "healthy" so why do you need the drug? The 2 have pretty similar side effects and taking both means increased intensity or possibility of such effects.
