Can Noten (Atenolol) "alone", treat my anxiety

Hi i have Generalised Anxiety Disorder. I was on Paxil (Paroxetine) for 1 year but got off that because it sedated me too much. I recently tried Lexapro (Ecsitalopram) but that sedated me too much as well. I have Hypertension and i'm on 25mg of Atenolol a day. Just wondering if i can increase the dosage to 50mg to help my Anxiety as well as Hypertension. I work in a mine and can't afford to be sedated cause it's too dangerous. Please don't tell me to see my doctor because i know that just after experienced peoples opinions. Thankyou

Actually, 50mg is the recommended starting dose of atenolol for hypertension. Some users claim that the drug also worked for their anxiety even at 25 mg dose.
