Default Do beta blockers help stop the pain back and arm pain of angina

I am having a lot of arms and shoulder/back pain and yesterday I was prescribed pills from a doctor to take when I feel my heart flutter. I think the arm and back pain is due to angina but the doctors haven't found anything wrong yet.

I did an EKG test today and I did blood samples.

Beta-blockers can be used to treat some types of heart disease. Beta-blockers improve the heart's ability to relax, decrease the production of harmful substances produced by the body in response to heart failure and slow the heart rate. Over time, beta-blockers improve the heart's pumping ability.

Beta blockers will slow down the heart rate. They can interrupt a rhythm that is going too fast. They are also used chronically to treat coronary artery disease or high blood pressure. They can also be useful in migraine prophylaxis or stage fright. They do NOT treat angina. Angina is a symptom of arteries that aren't letting enough blood flow through to feed the heart muscle. Angina is treated with nitroglycerin, which helps to open up the arteries.
