I am 22 and im on PROPRANOLOL.
This past two months i had 3 episodes of my heart rate going 140-160 just standing not doing any physical activity.I believe it was stress related..The doctors did all the test you can think of.Blood test, echo, ultrasound, had me on holter monitor, everything. Thankfully everything came out normal. They ended up no really giving me an answer to the episodes.Just giving me PROPRANOLOL daily so an episode wont happen again. I want to drink one alchol drink when i go out with my friends but i cant even do that. I really believe my episodes was stress related but my doctors want me on this beta-blocker for a while. Any suggestions?

Follow your doctor's advice. For sure you won't be on the drug for a long time. You would be asked to come back for follow-up check up and from there it will be decided if you can stop taking the drug and what management can be done to prevent your episode from recurring.
