Does anyone take a beta blocker for extreme nervousness?
I shake REALLY bad when I am in a uncompfortable situation. I don't know why. Sometimes it is not even a situation that the ordinary person would find uncomfortable. Just a social situation. Meeting new people, a social event, really anything sometimes that deals with interacting with people. I am not a weirdo... I am an averge person.
A beta Blocker slows down your heart rate therefore stopping your shaking.

omg i feel the same way! i think there is an actual name for it. i think its social anxiety. i know how bad it is. i feel like im gonna puke and i shake and my palms get sweaty when i talk to people. its terrible. i wish i could help you but i dont know what a beta blocker is. im gessing its some type of medicine but i dont take anything. if you go to a psycologist they can probably get you perscribed some type of meds. the only thing stoppin me from goin to the psycologist is that im afraid to tell anyone! i wish i knew what to tell you.

Beta blockers are effective in combating symptoms of nervousness, particularly those associated with performance anxiety. Google some forums on beta blockers and anxiety (Like this: Beta blockers- a cool antianxiety pill [Archive] - ADHD Forums - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Support and Information Resources Community). User inputs might give you more information.
