Propranolol maximum allowable dose varies for different conditions it's prescribed for. In cases of hypertension, up to 640mg/day can be given in some cases. For migraine, it's up to 240mg/day.

As for propranolol overdose, the usual symptoms like hypotension and bradycardia occur (slow heart rate). Dizziness, uneven heart rate, weakness & fainting may also occur. Anyone who had or suspects to may have prpranolol overdose should seek medical treatment immediately.
