metoprolol side effect?

I have been on 25mg of metoprolol xl with no problems for over 2 years now. About 3 weeks ago the pharmacy changed my usual metoprolol manufacturer to a different manufacturer.

Since then I haven't been feeling so good. Sometimes my heart will feel like its racing and I feel really tired and run down. I sometimes check my blood pressure at home and it usually runs 105/60 sometimes a little higher and sometimes a little lower.

I take my medication in the late evening and last night I decided not to take my metoprolol and today for the first time in a long time I felt really good! No racing heartbeat and I actually had energy.

I haven't seen my regular doctor yet, but I was thinking that maybe this different brand could be making me feel like this. But is it even possible?
