How often can I take albuterol puffs
When I was a kid I had allergy related athsma, so I know how to use albuterol. Lately I've had a sinus infection/virus that has caused me to have a terrible sore throat and clogged sinuses. I've been rinsing out my sinuses 3 times a day, drinking water almost constantly, drinking hot tea with so much honey in it that it tastes like honey, eating hot soup, gargling with warm/hot salt water, spraying my throat with chloraseptic spray, and taking sudafed, mucinex, non drowsy allergy pills, and alternating doses of motrin/tylenol or tylenol/aleve.

Just now I got one of those awful itches in the back of your throat that causes you to cough constantly. I took two puffs of albuterol and I want to know when I can take my next puff, because I forget. I'm almost thinking you can take a puff when you need it... but I'm not positive.

Also, if anyone has any remedies for kicking this bug in the butt that actually work... you'll get best answer.

You should take your next puff 4-6 hours after the last one, unless you are having an attack causing airway constriction. I also think you are taking way to many medications (you are probally confusing your body) which could be very dangerous. Does the sudafed and the nondrowsey allergy medication have the same active ingredients? You need to make sure they don't. If you have sinusitis you need to go get an antibiodic.

This is one you need to check with your pharmacist on. I use an Albuteral Inhaler but my dose may not be the same as yours. And you cannot just use it any time you want. That is very dangerous so do not so that!!! Call your pharmacist right away. That's one of the reasons they are there is to help you understand your dosing schedule. If you threw the box away I always do) then your information will be stored in their computer and they can look up your doctors instruction sin a matter of seconds.
