Do not discontinue taking these drugs all of a sudden. If you wish to stop taking these drugs, consult your doctor first. As for other maintenance drug, the patient is tapered off the drug, reducing the dose over a period of time until it's OK to finally stop taking it. Patients who stopped taking albuterol were reported to have experienced dizziness, light-headedness & lack of focus.
