one trick I have had several packs come through

alrighty guys, after having a few packs not go throuhg this christmas season I just noticed something about my past orders.

almost EVERY order that has gone through I have ordered 2 products:

ONE product which is easy to find in any wal-mart or drug store, not controlled at all or any restriction. Basic tylenol or caffiene pills as an example. Almost all pharmacies have something like this!

then my other med which might be a bit harder to get through.

two reasons I think this might be:

1) they see the legit med and don't scrutinize my order as much
2) with items in a pack the packaging is a bit larger, I read elsewhere that perhaps customs looks for packs from a specific pharmacy and searches packs that are in the same packaging.. so perhaps by ordering 2 products my pack doesn't seem like what they are looking for and its not selected for searching?

I can't garantee this works but I was just surprised when I realized that EVERY order with 1 100% legit product has come through perfectly fine. Even from pharms that others reported problems with mine have come through.

Any thoughts?

That's an interesting theory. Who knows why customs chooses certain packages to keep, and sends others on their way? I've heard of people receiving illicit substances AFTER customs has apparently opened and inspected the package.

I don't know. I think I would be highly questioning a package of Tylenol to the US or any other country where the stuff is cheap and readily available. Who would send Alka Seltzer o'erseas? But I'm not in charge; so maybe you're on to something.

I truly believe that it's completely random what they check.And i've always thought the smaller packages make it through easier no? Isn't that the reason some vendors ship separately when you order more than 1 product?

That's the theory and it probably works for a while. Then to keep ahead of the game methods must change. I am presently experiencing a reversal of the norm, bigger getting through, but it's Xmas too and lots more bigger packages in transit so may not be indicative of search and seizure procedures, just the time of year.

Many folks have suggested it's a matter of the origin, weight,and packaging. Personally, if something is forbidden, it shouldn't matter that it's packaged with a legal item. It'll get snagged.

I've never had anything snagged. *knock on wood*
