    Default PLZ PLZ HELP-THX-Does SMOKING interfere with CHEMOTHERAPY

    i know smoking is bad in general and what it causes....but does it or is it proven to affect CHEMOTHERAPY IN any way ....thx

    note: i have lymphoma hodjkins being treated with ABVD CHEMO

    It's been scientifically proven that smokers tend to have a 40% higher risk of developing Hodgkin Lymphoma.

    As you already have it, I'm surprised your doctor hasn't already told you to quit as this does interfere with Chemo.

    I really think you need to discuss this with your doctor as I'm sure he'll tell you that you must stop. Your life is worth far more than your cigarettes.

    Only if you've set some type of personal limit for how cool you want to look.
