@Rec8898, since you just got out of the Army, use the resources available to you. Go to a VA doc and tell him what's going on. Many of our servicemen have injuries, or anxiety problems from what they've seen in battle and the docs know this. Your medical is covered as long as you go through the VA so I don't see a need to go to a Pain clinic, you know? Get started with a VA doc and keep going there so you can build a file. If you've never complained of pain before you won't get into a pain clinic. You have to have a history to get into a pain clinic and you didn't give enough details for me to know if you do have one.

You worked hard for your country. Let your country take care of you now. Use a VA doc and skip paying some other place. My brother was a Marine for 28 years and he, his wife and kids all use the VA when they need medicine, checkups, etc.

Take care, and thank you for what you did for your country. Our boys and girls deserve the best when they get back and my daughter is working at a VA hospital because she believes it's noble to take care of the people who took care of us. You have free medical for life - use it!

I will have Tricare and can chose a pain doctor I want and don't have to worry about the VA cause I'll be retired. So if someone know a good doctor to keep my on my pain meds I take now and maybe have some new ideas to help my deal with my jacked up leg I have now. Being medical retired I don't have to pay for doctor visits with Tricare.
