Usually. Understand why you have acne. The prednisone shut down your immune system so bacteria were able to colonize your skin that normally would have been destroyed by the IgA your skin normally secretes. Now, when a sebaceous gland gets plugged, the bacteria colonizes, grows and forms acne. Once you are off the steroid, your natural IgA antibodies will come back. But it may take quite some time before they kill off the bacteria.
An oral antibiotic might help.
