How long does this feeling last - I take them first thing in the morning before breakfast.Should I wait until after food before I take them or should I take them with food. Do you think I am getting these side effects because I took them before food?

I think your body is telling you something about your choice of how to handle your problem. I do believe your body is much smarter than your doctor.

Whatever you are taking the steroid for can most likely be handled a different way that is not going to damage your body like drugs. I would get another opinion from someone that is not dealing drugs.

Seek out a Certified Nutritional Therapist and see what kinds of support you can get by supporting good sound nutrition, etc. to solve your problem. I think you will see much better results long term.

good luck to you
