Prednisone questions/concerns

My mom takes prednisone regularly, and she has a history of ulsers (died from it and restated), copd, dipression, overweight, insomnia, and shes always sick... my doctor gave her 10mg prednisone and im really worried about her... how bad are they really becuase I have herd bad things about prednisone

I know when i take it because I get phenomena about once a year because Im allergic to the cold so I take it in the winter sometimes but it messes me up really bad, gives me anxiety attacks, and i cant sleep when i take it and Im only 16 so i worry what it would/is do/doing to a 50 year old whos already really weak

please help me figure all this out, im worring myself sick after hearing all the side effects, whats the longest you should be taking prednisone, how bad is it really, should i be worrying, should i talk to our doctor

look up prednisone,it is really for dogs,with manes.doc put me on this because I was itching,it weakens your immune system and makes you subsceptable to getting sick.I would get another opinion.
