PREDNISONE\Cortico SOURCE?

Hello, I was wondering if there are any known and trusted sources for Prednisone or other related corticosteroids.

I am sure it is hard to get them rx'ed by a domestic, if at all possible without a physical - even though it is not scheduled - simply because of all the possible side effects...

I rarely take it, but on very bad days such as... the last week... I could have really used a cycle. I know the medication itself is rather cheap, just the whole - going to the doctor thing - can be expensive for me.

The ER has gotten to know me well lately, especially since I lost my job...

They know my doctor, they know my situation... They'll prescribe me some diclofenac and percocet or tramadol (I usually take Tram and Diclofenac) for a few days and send me on my way.
I've only been able to get prednisone twice from an ER - and they did that simply to give me less narcotics I think... Which didn't bother me because the combo of Prednisone and a narcotic is more effective than twice the amount of narcotic alone for me...

Anyway, I am getting wayyyy off topic - and I apologize if I have overlooked sources right in front of me - I used the search feature but WOW there were so many to look through, and none 'jumped out' at me as far as acquiring them...

So, any insight would be helpful - not really as much of a priority for me as say my tramadol, but I am curious nonetheless.

Well, this time around I need some Prednisone for my wrists as I cannot sleep without being woken up by my hands HURTING so bad... it's carpal tunnel and I know it, had it before, know what it is from, how I got it, etc - but my diclofenac or naproxen or ibuprofen aren't cutting it - and they are causing my stomach bleeding... (black stools - yah - sorry, but that's how I know...)

I really just need another source that I don't have to buy 500 pills at a time...

Preferably would like to get 20-40mg 50+ for $50 or less...
I know it's probably asking a lot - but... that 50 pills cost like $5 at the local pharmacy, but the bitch is you spend $100+ sometimes just to TRY to get a rx - and they usually won't give you shit when you seem to have any sort of knowledge as to what is working and what doesn't... ugh... I REALLY REALLY need a doctor who can trust some of my judgement. I can't stand being told I am young and don't know what I am talking about BECAUSE I AM YOUNG...

The ones on the Pharm list here are a bit outdated... one is shut down, saying it will be back April 1st 2011... mm...k....
Another requires an RX from a US\Canadian doctor...

Another wants $200 for what I want...
The one Gup referred me to only wants half that but I gotta buy 500... and for $500 20 or 40mg it is like $120-$200...

I suppose I could order 500 1mg or 500 5mg but it's so uneconomical and I hate taking in too much extra titanium dioxide and starch if I can avoid it...

@nwoh You might want to check out unitedpharmacies.com for the prednisone. They carry 500 x 20mg tablets for $60.00 (plus shipping). I do not have any personal experience with this source, however a cursory search for reviews looked at least somewhat promising.

@riverstyx What a pleasant surprise to see you here! Our paths have not crossed for several years, and I have always wondered how things turned out with regards to some difficulties you were having. Prednisone and prednisolone are not the same. Prednisone is a precursor of prednisolone. Though their potency is practicallly equal, it might affect your body slightly differently regarding e.g. side effects.
