Is it safe to exercise while taking a high dose of cortisone(60mg per day)
I get uveitis on a regular basis, roughly every 7 months and the only thing that works is cortisone. So every few months I'm on this high dose of cortisone. My husband and I just joined a gym a few weeks ago and I don't what to stop exercising alltogether because of my eye!
The only thing that can affect your exercise regime is a side effect of cortisone wherein it causes dizziness and drowsiness. But if you do not experience this kind of side effect, then it won't be a bother. Just be aware of changes that may occur while exercising and taking cortisone and be sure to report this to your doctor. Hope this helps!
