No weight loss plan that's good for you will show immediate results. If you don't work and have the time to work out all day under the direction of doctors and trainers, you might be able to manage it, but that's not possible for most people.
Set yourself a healthy, rounded diet, and make sure you're taking in enough calories. 1500/day should be your minimum if you are active. Concentrate more on the exercises you'll need to do to trim down the prednisone bulk and keep it off. Try to do mostly cardio, shooting for 30-60 minutes per day, 4-5 days per week. Once you're into the swing of that, start adding in some ab toning stuff, mostly on a small exercise ball, since it's more effective than floor based routines. Keep in mind that it'll be tough, and some of the midsection bulge is probably due to your digestive system not function as well as before the prednisone, rather than fat. My mom was an incredibly slender, in shape woman all her life until she got sick in the last few years, and her belly area became rather distended when on prednisone, despite the rest of her being almost shockingly small/frail. Provided you're otherwise in okay health, you should be able to trim it somewhat better, but you'll want to keep it as a consideration and not beat yourself up too much if you maintain a little pouch.
