Can prednisone hurt a 53 ye old male with a blood sugar 130-150
He does not take insulin, his diabetes is controlled by diet. He has poison ivy and was prescribed Prednisone (60 millagrams for 2 days, and down hill from there. Will this hurt him?
I can only tell you from experience that when I was on 15mg of prednisone, my blood sugar went from normal levels to 350+ for a couple days until I found the right insulin dose.
