Is it common to have muscle aches and sensitivity after taking the steroid prednisolone?

I had to take 8 tablets a day for a week for my asthma. I did this twice in a month, and it seemed that the day after stopping taking them I get aches and pains in my back. Sometimes it feels a bit like its burning. Its really weird. Now and again I do feel slightly dizzy and light headed too. Does anyone know if this is probably a side effect? Or might it be something else? Please help me.

And in that case, ZarS, ask your doctor, they'd be able to tell you.

Steroids are serious drugs. They can have many side effects, which is why they are usually only prescribed for short priods of time-not prolonged use, and if needed for a long period, it is under close doctor supervision. Read the side effects insert and call the doctor if it persists.
