My friend was in a car accident and since has been having lower back issues. Her Dr told her that she had to get Cortisone shots (3 of them) and she will be fine. One question that she had was, will three shots knock it out, or will this be temporary and she has to keep going back for the rest of her life. I know it sounds drastic but she just wants the pain to go away. Thanks for your help!
it depends on if she has damage or not to the back.
cortisone injections are common.... it will help reduce the inflammation which will majorly help the pain ...
it should help but if her disc is compressed or some other disc issue, the pain might come back.... in that case, she sould see a back specialist to find out whats going on....
the cortisone should help a lot but its' not a gurantee..
