i got a shot of cortizone/prednisone in my butt yesterday at 8pm 125mg....tonight at 6 pm am i cool to skip the next dose which is oral and drink alcohol and can i continue my dose of prednisone the next day?

the poison ivy isnt that bad i just dont think she realized that my ankle is naturally swollen due to excessive ankle injuries
i am also on the fence about taking prednisone because of the power of it so i am also looking to stop taking it all together but ive read up and i hear there are withdrawal symptoms
Medicines and alcohol don't mix. Why on earth would you want to skip a medicine doze that will help you get rid of the the poison ivy? You hopefully are not an alcoholic. Skip the alcohol and stay on the prescribed medicine, and remember, even when you take the last pill, it's effects will still be in your blood stream for at least forty eight hours. Be careful sir. not a good idea. your dr/pharmacist gave your instructions on when to take the medication for a reason. you are suppose to take the medicine on time so you have a constant level of medicine in your system so it can work correctly. why bother taking it at all??? you shouldn't skip it just to have a drink. i would think if your poison ivy is bad enough to require a shot and pills of a prednisone then you can skip a drink for one night to relieve the itch!!!
