Celestone M is used on the skin to relieve the redness, swelling, itching and discomfort of many skin problems such as eczema & psoriasis. It is not recommended for fungal infections like tinea cruris since as a steroid, it cannot address the cause of the problem. You might need antifungal agents such as clotrimazole though there are times when cortisone is combined with antifungal drugs to help with the symptoms and prevent further irritation from scratching.
