can i mix prednisone with diet pills?

my tonsils were swollen for about two months, so i decided to go to the doctor and he tested me for mono, which came up negative. i had been taking slimquick for about a week before going to the doctor. i didn't tell him i was taking it, so he gave me prednisone- a steroid pill. i took prednisone the first day (which was 6 pills) and only 4 the next day. while taking the slimquick. i experienced really weird side effects, such as dizzyness, nausea, confusion (i wouldn't know what i was doing or anything), itching in random places, depression (suicidal thoughts), irregular heart beating, weak muscles and bones, and a really weird one was i couldn't really feel pain. but then in some parts of my body...the pain was intensified. nontheless, i had smoked merijuana the night before going to the doctor. so really.... it was a combination of mary jane, prednisone, and slimquick. i'm still experiencing most of these symptoms. it sucks. =[ any advice from anyone? oh and also..today i had taken niacin - a detox pill- and it helped a little.

I know Prednisone makes your joints ache and the diet pi;;s will contribute to the rapid heartrate and dizziness, but I never took slimquick so that I don't know. 6 prednisone pills is alot for 1 day though. My Dr. has never had me take more than 4 in one day , 2 at night and 2 in the morning. Maybe switch to Methylprednisone. I take that for my psoriasis and asthma . Itchy skin and asthma comes to gether for me.

Don't mix medications. Diet pills or any of that stuff never works. Try the old fashion way that actually works. Good luck!

Stop. And for heavens sake, tell your doctor. You should never ever mix any drugs together, especially without telling your doctor.
