has anyone ever started taking Metformin for their PCOS

just wondering becuase my obgyn put me on birth control (yasmin) well my cholesterol levels are going up and up....My Primary care is considering Metformin....has anyone gone on it to help with the PCOS not the diabetes?

Metformin is also prescribed to treat PCOS, and not just diabetes. It regulates insulin levels in the blood which can indirectly affect the levels of testosterone in the blood, thus treat PCOS.
