I have had diarea for a month I was taking metformin for diabetes dr stopped it but I continue to have it

Now my right side hurts and I am bleeding. I feel like my whole inides are coming out If I eat or drink anything wait ten minutes and I going again.The hospital just sends me home. What cn this be?
My sugars were at 600 hundred I was hospitalized. They found an infection in my intestins and were going to do a test well the stool showed an infection that was common in aids patients. aids test were neg. the antibiotic started with an Flagil I went two rounds and it slowed down for a while I was instructed no immodium. Stopped metformin well over three months now. I am sick sugars aredown from that I am running in the high 100s to mid 200. There are no good drs here

find another doctor!! an internist preferably. you have something drastically wrong.

metformin is a systemic drug. it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to become fully effective and at least that long to wear back out of the system.
