I have been taking Metformin for the last month. My period this month is differnent what is your experience

I do ovulate every month but usually when my period starts I have always considered myself very lucky. I hardly ever, ever have cramps. If I do they only last for a little while on the first day and just go away.

I am on my second day and I have been taking OTC meds since yesterday. I am really havinb bad cramps but I am wondering if that is a good thing. I have been diagnosed with PCOS but my symptoms are not that bad. I do ovulate.
