Are any females taking Glucophage

Ok, I went to the gyn. today and he perscribed me Glucophage to bring my blood pressure down. My blood pressure spiked due to the birth control I am taking to regulate my hormones due to PCOS. I’m still not real sure how this is suposed to help. He was talking about doing an IUD but decided against it because of severe cramping (in people with a "tiny uterus"). If anybody has any information about this drug, please help!!

I take Glucophage, but I have never heard of it being used for high blood pressure. Usually it is used for diabetes and PCOS. Be warned, it will stimulate egg production so make sure you are using a very reliable form of birth control.
