Question about metformin and mucinex when trying to conceive.

Today is thurs july 2,i recently started taking metformin to aid in conceiving. I started mon june 29th so im only on day4. however, as of yesterday when i tinkle* im getting a brown color, and now today its getting a more red color. prior to this i havent had a period since feb. 8th of this yr. so im just wondering what your thoughts are on this? do you think it is already starting to help?is it ok or would it help to take mucinex to thin out my cervical mucus? im taking 500mg metformin twice daily.thnx!

I was told that sometimes Metformin can reset your cycle. My doc put me on it sometime in the middle of my cycle, and I got my period.

I wouldn't start taking the mucinex until you see if you are getting your period. I'd probably wait one cycle and chart, and see when you ovulated. Then, next cycle, start the mucinex about one week before you expect ovulation.
