I would like to get more information on why you think that this medication is a neutral on weight control. Maybe your opposing view would enlighten me as to why more doctors do not use dimensional thinking when managing medications. It appears that the lack of dimensional medicine is for conservative promoters of medicine. Metformin helped me lose more than 20pounds, no strenuous workouts and no diet modification . No history of diabetes or other long term , chronic or acute illness,. So in addition to it's effectiveness , I can sincerely add that it is one of the non diabetic oral agents that do not act on insulin , but, rather as you said previously , prevents glucogenesis, and blocks up to 62% of glucose daily with the use of 2000 mg tabs , , breaks insulin resistance etc. all of this is what makes effective on weight control , What i need is a doctor who will write it for me ongoing.
