Metformin I don't have diabetes
Ok so my obgyn prescribed metformin 500 mg she told me for 2 wks to take 500 and after take 1000 (which i didn't because when i took 1000 my side effects were horrible). She said that she is giving it to me not because i have diabetes but to help me with my hormones she said they were a bit unbalance. I been talking them for a while she recommend that i get a ultra sound done. I am no pregnant so she wanted to see if i have a cyst since my hormones are unbalance. When they did my ultra sound they saw nothing they checked both ovaries and found nothing. So i don't see what is the point on taking these pills they helped me loose so far 10lbs or so in a matter of 2 months but the side effects are ugly i always have to use the restroom and no not number 1 but 2. Today i went and got another pack but they seem different from the last Aurobindo was the last provider and now it another provider by the name ivax is there a difference or are they the same pill. Anyway my question is pretty much why do i have to take this pills and if there is a difference from each provider when i first took them they were little white pills and now they and long oval pills.

Metformin can definitely help in correcting imbalanced hormones as compared to taking hormone pills. This can help produce regular menstrual cycles.

This hormonal imbalance may be caused by several factors and one of them is stress. So I suggest is to relax and trust your doctor on their decisions.

a change in brand name may not have too much change in reaction. However, just be cautious about it.

Hope this helps.
