Has anyone had excessive menstrual bleeding while taking Metformin 500? I am @ 5 weeks & don't know what to do

I am 33 years old & have been skipping periods for about a year and a half. The Dr said I have PCOS, and that I would experience "some changes to my cycle", but geez, this is crazy! Anyone know when my life might get back to normal? I'd like to start trying for a baby, but at the rate I'm going, who knows when I'll be able to start "trying" again!

There could be another cause of the abnormal bleeding as metformin is no supposed to cause heavy bleeding. Consult with your OB-GYNE.
