Has anyone tried the new drug for diabetes called Sitagliptin (Januvia)?

What are its side effects? How effective is it compared to other drugs?

I haven't tried the drug but based on clinical trials, the common side effects of sitagliptin alone is nasopharyngitis. When combined with other agents like metformin or pioglitazone would be hypoglycemia.

I do hope that other posters who have taken this drug can post their first hand experience on this drug to enlighten readers.
