    that all makes sense @lucyloo
at this point I just want to continue the meds I have been taking for the past 7 years..
I have records and pharmacy history outlining them (as well as much stronger meds, which I am not looking to get right now, just the others- sch III)

So this is a one man show Rick-1st choice? Seems that way...I suppose certain areas might have a higher concentration of doctors needing work (tri-state ny area) so maybe that is why my experience (so far at least) has been a little different

I am curious to see how my phone consults are and how hassle-free they may or may not be...
like I said so far Rick has been really helpful and responsive to me, although I have noticed he only seems to respond/call/etc during certain times of the day...I don't even expect to communicate with him in the mornings or weekends..seems 3-5 PM or some days 7-9PM are the times he works...

please let me know when you hear back from him, I'm curious, hoping you don't go without and hear back soon!

@biancafiore Yes, Rick is great - I can say the doctor in Brooklyn is spectacular. Very thorough and VERY compassionate. There was a long wait about 40 minutes so bring a book or magazine (seating is limited) other than that it went very smoothly. I brought a copy of my records just in case. Rick must send them over because he had my MRI and EMG reports. He did request Bloodwork after our second call. So far so good. Anyways sorry for the delayed response but I hope I answered all your questions!!

    Where are you located??

    Default @Pi3r0

@Pi3r0-was the Doctor's office in Brooklyn shady?
I live in the city, and I went to the Doctor in Yonkers because the Dr in Brooklyn wasn't going to see patients until later in August, but I wish I had gone to him, I had issues with the Dr in Yonkers. (PM me if you want more details, it is a long story)
    Where are you located?
What kind of blood work did the Dr request?

Did he write for a full month's supply of medication?
Sorry for all the questions, you are the first person I have come across in my actual neighbourhood so I really want to know your experience with the Doctors and first choice!
How long have you been using them?

Hi, I was treated for fibromyalgia by my ex Father in Law who is a nuerologist. I don't have any records since he just had me seen by him and his colleages in his practice wrote scripts for Lyrica and gave free samples and wrote for small amounts of pain pills as needed.

I am divorced now and live in a small town, the only doctor here is very uncompassionate and rude. She will not prescribe anything, not even nuerotin! She says it is all in my head. She won't even give me a referall to a nuerologist! Would I need medical records for this? I don't have any documentation of this condition.

I would ask your ex father-in-law or a Dr in that practice who saw/treated you to give you whatever records they have. By law they have to keep records of patients if they write scripts for them, and by law, you are entitled to obtaining a copy of your records from them.
Don't let them tell you otherwise.

After you get your records (which from what it sounds shouldn't be extensive or time-consuming to obtain), you should be able to go through 1st choice, or another similar provider of referral services with no issue.
I would at least call them and tell them your situation to see what they can do for you, and if they can at lest have a Dr. see you to discuss your issues.

    Good luck.

I wouldn't use Fibro because they are all scripting Lyrica. Put your hand on your neck, now you back, now your knees don't any of them hurt. With all this Nero-muscular pain something gotta hurt. You have a PCP we can get you scripted Monday after we go to your PCP and tell him/her about the terrible accident you had this weekend NYC is a rough a delicate person like yourself can get neck, back, knee injuries easy. Remember if you hurt your back falling backwards you won't feel it till the next day when you can hardly walk without a back brace. I guess you can tell I'm kinda of a player and just when I had you thinking I was a priest.

Welcome to the forum. I haven't looked up your other warning but would like to point you to this thread. You will surely have issues here if you don't read and abide by the rules, including rules about asking for vendors for specific products.

    Good luck!

At this point, I wouldn't recommend 1st choice...you might pay the full price and only get a few days' supply of meds...it is a crap shoot with these places...
I have had some really bad annoyances with them so far....even though I believe it is the Dr. I have been dealing with who is being difficult to deal with...I am not sure why a business would want to work with a doctor who treats patients like drug addicts or drug dealers...

He has also sent people on wild goose chases, and p1$$ed off Doctors by not paying them so they quit on the service, and has said that you will see a Dr. in town "X" then when you get his e-mail at 4a.m. you discover the Dr. is located about 200 miles away.

I bet anyone that he is off shore somewhere and has no idea where the Dr. and patient are actually located in relation to each other. Which is ridiculous, I mean, Google map the addresses for cripes sakes.

And yes, I know his phone number is in Florida. Means nothing. I know of an India call center whose calls all come from North Dakota, and they are all located in Bangalore.

I would say, if you get promised a location near you, make sure he understands you will do a charge back on the credit card of it is not where he says it is. Then you can use that as proof when you do the charge back. That is what I did.

If you get lucky, it is worth it, these days.
This is true...he definitely says anything to get your money...and as others have told me..disappears when anything goes wrong.....kind of shady if you ask me..if I had a business I certainly would not conduct it the way he does..
