Medical Marijuana in Colorado

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for a doctor consultation for a Colorado medical marijuana prescription. There's an ad on Craigslist for one in Northglenn that I am not sure is legitimate. I live in the Denver area, and would like to find a doctor that is reasonably priced and reliable.

The number of dispensaries in the Denver area is absolutely astounding. I have been inside several for work reasons and it's incredible how much legal marijuana is being cultivated. The availability seems to have had a nice effect on the pricing here as well. I believe the black market price was $50 for 1/8 oz, and I've seen dispensaries advertising $30 for 1/8 oz.

A lot of the dispensaries can offer you references. I have friends in Colorado Springs, and from what they say, some of the local docs give referral fees to dispensaries for patient recommendations. Scripts aren't exactly hard to come by in that part of the world

I hope to be moving out there pretty soon. Hopefully before the snow melts. I've used marijuana for a lot of ailments since I was very young. Granted, it started as getting high I soon realized that I was more social with less anxiety and the pain that I experience from a degenerative joint and muscle disease I have were reduced drastically allowing me to take less and less pharmaceutical meds. My doc didn't like it, but when I mentioned that he worked for me and I'd be glad to take my business elsewhere he decided to do a little research and help me rather than fight. However recently, a run in with the law has made it hard for me to take the medication I'd prefer and I'm back on what I hate. I really need to get out there ASAP! Sorry totally off topic

@quon5 - If you contact Denver Relief at 303-420-MEDS, they will help you find a doctor. On top of that, even if you don't choose them as your primary caretaker, they will notarize the paperwork that you have to mail in for you. They also have some of the best medical marijuana in the country too! Lots of awards for strains that they have created!

You should just find a dispensary near you and go to them and ask for a doctor recommendation they know what's up. The dispensary is a business after all, they have an interest in making it a win for everybody.

There supposed to be making it harder now in Colorado to get your card, from what I heard on the news the other day. I think the main reason is all the dispensaries here, it crazy how many there are now.
