How long does morphine stay in the body

can anyone tell me how long morphine stays in your system? I need to take a trip to the hospital, but will and what will they do if they find it?

Hi. I moved your post since the original thread is about morphine from MMW. Your question is about how long morphine (in general) stays in the body's system---thus it deserves its own thread so it can be found easily by members who have a similar question.

The elimination half-life of morphine is approximately 120 minutes, though there may be slight differences between men and women as well as older vs younger patients. That means that it would take around double that time to eliminate morphine in the body.

Perhaps we should wait for other members to comment on what will happen if the hospital personnel detected morphine in a patient.
