    I hate it.

    I fricken hate it!

Just the slow onset of pain climbing up your body. Your legs turning to 10 ton weights and the unbelievable muscle cramps. The endless sneezing and runny nose.

Cold sweats, getting under the duvet because your freezing only to be burning up in a matter of seconds. But as soon as that duvet comes off, your freezing again.

But worst of all..... The restless leg.

    Pure evil

I used to get muscle spasms, in my pectoral muscles. Like RLS in my chest. First time I thought it was my heart beating out of control, it got quite annoying. Always being cold really bothered me too, was not happy about never having the thermostat set correctly. Sweating on the outside and cold on the inside, or cold outside and inside. No in between.

    Withdrawal

It's the reason why I'm spending a lot of money making orders from various pharmacies and not worrying about getting ripped off, I already got ripped off twice from Trusted pharmacies.

I Think I should make a trip to Europe and get some relief instead of doing boy again.

I've found that the best way to find relief from withdrawals is to use buprenorphine, or suboxone. Most states have a free suboxone program where you sign up for it just like methadone but you can take your script home rather than going to a clinic every morning. It's worth looking into. Suboxone has saved my life and allowed me to no long require a steady expensive maintenance dose of opiates just to function. My 2 cents

I Totally agree with you buddy. Using all types of drugs you can think of, except crack, very heavily since I was 13, made me metally dependant on drugs. I even have a hole in my nose

As you can see I'm living in Kuwait right now, I'm half American but all my business force me to be most of the year in Kuwait. 18 moths ago I started thinking about this life of drugs, specially Hero, dependence. So I made my reseach about the best cure/med/whatever that I can substitute with Hero.

The first thing I thought about was Suboxone, because I've tried it for some time when I was In Law School. I remember that I had no craving for any type of drugs. So, I made a wide research about it and compared it to all Addition Treatment methods out there. I always found it the best in comparison of other methods, such as MMT, 12 Steps program .... etc.

Since I started taking Buprenorphine, I lived the best sober life I can remember. No cravings, depression, or any other bad feelings caused by using drugs.

4 months ago, the IOP I used to get the supplement from stopped getting Buprenorphine supplement. It's the only way I have to get Suboxone from since I'm living in a country that doesn't have any type of Addiction Treatment Psychiatrists or Centers beside the government Center which only give anti-depressents and some benzos plus the 12 steps program!

I was patient going through the mild Suboxone withdrawals for 2-3 months. I couldn't hold myself anymore and relapsed. Talked to a H dealer and got 8 grams, finished it in a week and decided to travel to Morocco to see a Psychiatrist that prescribe Suboxone. Unfortunately, I could only get Tramadol for withdrawal and a 6 moths supplement of Benzos, Stablon, Stilnox.

Now, I'm making orders again from various IOP that I never dealt with. I made so many orders to make sure that I have a reliable source that I can depend on in the long term. I'm so desperate that I even made orders of Temgesic 0.2mg!! Since the 3rd of this month, I already got ripped off by two whatsoever "Trusted IOP" which everyone I talked to said they are reliable. They even couldn't believe that one IOP I told my friends about ripped me off with $485 because they almost have no bad reviews, but having the transfer copy and pics of the emails between me and Alons* made them believe what I said. I really don't care about the money I lost as much as I care about finding the right source and getting the medication delivered to me. I just want to get started over again on BMT doesn't matter what it will cost me.

Buprenorphine is a miracle that's why I'm waiting and waiting to get it in some way instead of getting any other strong opiate that will NOT solve a problem.

I wish I could make another trip to UK,USA, or any other country that I can get a prescription of Suboxone 8mg, 2mg or even Subutex 2mg, but, Unfortunately, I hava so many cases that I have to take care of these coming two months. Also, I just openned a new branch of my business which forces me to be there to make it successful.

In summery, If an addict wants to live sober, active, productive ... etc, his/her best choice is Buprenorphine unless he/she rather another Addiction Treatment Method.

My best to all who suffer from their previous mistakes

Very interesting conversations. I am a current opiate addict, but have dealt with major depression for decades, alcohol abuse history (sober from booze, but still using opiates), and, worst of all, have major back problems with permanent pain. I did the whole "cold turkey" thing and was 100% sober from everything for 1.5 years, but despite therapy and antidepressants, I got real suicidal because of the horrible, unrelenting pain. I thought I could habituate to the pain, but have since learned people can't (don't?) habituate to pain (comments anyone?).

Oxy & Norco is relatively cheap (~180 + 30mg total/day) and available from real doctors (though not in the doses I want, naturally) and that has been working perfectly for the pain - and mood for that matter - but I still feel like an addict and it makes me kind of loopy/stupid effecting work. I've also run out periodically from overuse and had to painfully W/D (SUCKS!!!) until my next legit dose.

I've seriously considered Suboxone to "kill two birds" dealing with the pain and limiting my addiction issues. I'd love to be pain-free AND clear. But, I do love my meds too. So...

I'm currently uninsured, but usually am covered. I've never heard about "free Suboxone addiction clinics" or a generic version. I also don't know about the pain relieving effectiveness either. It's a real concern - admitted I'm an addict, but my pain is very real and leaves me nearly crippled at bad times. I've had lots of steroid shots, therapy, antidepressants, have lost 40 pounds, and stretch and exercise all the time. All of it helps, but brings my pain from a 9 to a 6. Opiates take it down to a 2 which I can live with.

Will Suboxone do the same/similar? Dosages for the effects? Comments, please?

@BrianHorn I can only give you one example because that's the only real life experience I've had with it.

My SIL has chronic pain from several car accidents. He broke his ankle twice, the discs in his back are slightly out of place and he can't stand up for long periods of time. The kicker is he is only 25 years old and as such gets ignored. He was given 1 week of pain medicine for a broken ankle and several other injuries in his last car accident.

He recently tried Suboxone because he was buying a few percs here and there on the street to fight the pain and he didn't want to do that any more. The Sub did nothing for his pain (12mgs a day). He stayed on them for a month, then quit taking them, took enough percocets to pee 'dirty' at a Methadone clinic so he could get on methadone maintenance. He's much much happier on methadone because it kills the pain. His dosage is 40mgs a day, which isn't a crazy amount like some people take at methadone clinics, but it's the right amount for him. He had lost well over 50 lbs and went from a strapping, 6'3" 240 lb youth to a gaunt looking skeleton. He has only been on Methadone maintenance for a month or so but he looks so much better. He isn't pacing the floor all the time, he is sleeping better and he has started eating again.

Everyone is different and Suboxone does seem to help some people with pain issues; it just didn't help him.

If you read some of the threads here about suboxone you'll see that some members take 24mgs a day or even 32 mgs and maybe the higher dosages make a difference. I just think my SIL got a little freaked over Suboxone for some reason because he was willing to deal with several days of bad withdrawals to clean out his system so that he could take percocets to pee dirty at the clinic.

Hopefully others will give you personal experiences to help you decide. This is the only personal experience I know of.

BTW- I go to a pain specialist and take 10mgs of methadone 4x a day with 15mg oxy IRs 3-4x a day for breakthrough pain and I also take 2mgs of klonopin a day (all prescribed). Many pain clinics now prescribe methadone for chronic pain and it works great for me. I don't want any other extended release medicine except methadone because I've been on all of them and methadone was the one that did the trick.

Opiate withdrawls are one of the worst experiences the human being can undergo. Until one experiences this there are no words to do it justice. For those out there using opiates keep in mind that one day you are going to have to stop using them at least for a brief period of time and it will be the most unpleasant experience of your life. Opiates can be a beautiful medicine but they can also be abused. When their abused they will eventually abuse you back.
