Thread: kratom helps with pain

  1. Default kratom helps with pain

I have been using kratom and it helps so much with pain management. If you haven't tried it .. its a natural alternative. Has anyone else tried it? If so, whats your experience with it?

  2. Default Same here

I have used kratom myself and honestly prefer it over hydrocodone. Unfortunately your body will create a dependence for it and you will experience withdraw if used regularly. Best place I found to order it is from Jan at flaglercafe

I made the mistake of ordering kratom awhile ago in powder form.. Oh my does that stuff taste awful! I thought Id be able to get it down, but I wasnt expecting it to be 'that' bad! lol..definetly order the capsules..
I never was able to take enough to actually have an effect, but Im so glad that its working for you! Thats great!

  4. Kratom is a very useful plant and can also help you get off of other opiates. The resin extracts should generally be avoided, regular bali powder is the best deal.

There are other ways like putting it in a some pudding, applesauce or ice cream. I started that way years ago and now I just toss & wash, I guess I got so used to it, but I promise you it will mask the awlful flavor.

Capping them without a machine is a complete mess, I would like to buy the machine someday just for the convenience of having them capped.

For two years, it became my preference over all other opiates.

@danilka2004 is absolutely right, you'll go through withdrawal if you develop a dependence, but it's not unbearable.

@KittyVixen Aw, don't be wimpy The key is to place just a little on your tongue- make sure you've swallowed some water first so your mouth is wet, and then swallow it down. I have a post around here on how to do the toss-n-wash (tnw) method without gagging- you should check it out. Buying capsules are a big waste of money.

@teresita I've been able to successfully cap them without a machine. It takes a good bit of time and a lot of patience! Buy the largest caps you can find, I think they're the OO ones. Do everything over a plate. Take your bag or whatever of kratom and use a sharp cutting knife. Place a small amount of kratom onto the end of the knife and put it in the cap. Repeat as necessary. Yeah, it takes awhile, and if you can afford it, I'd go with the Cap-em-Quick or whatever it's called. But it can be done! I found putting it in other stuff, like applesauce, was even worse than just doing a t-n-w.

I'm using it right now, I order the capsules. I did take them out of the capsules once just to see if it was any better that way. No discernible difference. Taste is awful but you can get it down with lots o liquid...I'm using it to help with Tramadol withdrawals, I've been taking Tramadol for lower back pain. I can see how it could become my preference over opiates/opiate like drugs. So far I've been enjoying the Bali Kratom in capsules the best!

Bali and OST were my faves too. Hit up your local GNC (if you're in the US) and pick up some L-Tyrosine and B6. It's part of the "Thomas Recipe" for opiate withdrawal, and those two vitamins work wonders.

    @arizona

Thanks for the info I am familiar with the Thomas Recipe, which is part of the reason I joined, looking for a reliable source for some other things in his recipe. I plan on grabbing some of the items you suggest today and then hope for the best this weekend.

No problem. My friend was the one who suggested it to me. Unfortunately, he didn't know about it when he went through his detox and he was in an awful state for awhile. Let me know how it goes. Hang in there- you'll survive! If things get too bad mentally, please make the use of the sources you have available to you, such as suicide hotlines, or even in the worst case (especially for physical issues), the ER. Best of luck to ya!

Kratom is just another opiate - really. I know people who have used it to get off of dope and ended up getting so strung out on it that they had to go on subs to get off the kratom.

Sad to say it, folks but, sometimes, there is no buffer for the pain of life.

Oh, yeah - and the best way to use it the "revised toss and wash method" - you put a little bit of water or other liquid in the bottom of your mouth, then you dump the kratom on top of that, then add more water and it slides down your throat encased on all sides with water.

Subs to get off Kratom, really? I've heard the w/d from Kratom are a walk in the park. Personally I did not see a difference in toss and wash and using it in capsule form. But to each their own. The stomach is a wonderful thing and capable of breaking down just about anything...

I swear to god man - it was back in the day when Speciosa Specialists was selling that 250x and Oxindole extract. I did some of that Oxindole one time and totally blacked out. It was heavier than doing a couple bags of dope.

@hannibal72 well i guess you learn something everyday, I can see how it can be addicting, definitely a good alternative to narcotics though and so so easy to get.

@sambob_us well, my brother, it is easy to get - and it's also easy to get addicted to. I think that a bankruptcy about 9 years ago can be laid directly at the feet of Speciosa Specialists and their god damn kratom elixer and extracts. I know at the end I was downing at least 12ml of the crap a day.

But I was "clean"! At least in the sense that I didn't have to go to North Philly and cop dope every day to survive. 'Course, the last time I was in North Philly I was robbed at shot-gun point, clubbed over the head and a group of wanna be PR gang-bangers jumped me into their club.

The City of Brotherly Love, 'eh? Not in my experience.

Let's just say that I have a much different caliber of problems in my life these days.

So be careful. Buy only what you can pay cash for - don't get caught in that same trap. Allow my pain to purchase that wisdom for you, at the very least.

@hannibal72 sorry to hear about that. Right now I'm using Kratom for W/D from Tramadol, I'm on day 3 right now I guess, so after this week I don't plan on taking Kratom on a regular basis. Maybe just on the weekend for shit and giggles. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks, bro. Withdraws from tramadol, hmm. Be careful, you can easily get yourself into a worse place than a better one. Go to alldaychemist.com, order some clonidine - there is nothing better than a good blood pressure medicine to have on hand when you're detoxing from any opiate. It well even allow you to sleep, if you take enough.

My detox kit always used to include - benadryl, clonidine, pepto, ibuprofin, nyquil, bourbon and xanax.

At least it's not something that will last forever like methadone (detoxed from that in jail back in '98 - it was the f*ck'n worst six weeks of my life) or suboxone.

Sticking with powders and leaves is best. The elixers and SEKs are way to potent and not necessary when the desired effect can be achieved with the basics.

I have never found kratom to help with pain at all, but it does raise tolerance of opiate medications. I'm glad some are able to actually get pain relief from it - the effects are so subtle to me, I'd think some of it could be placebo but who knows.

edit: I should add I only buy the dried leaves, not the powders/extracts/etc. I have found that the dried leaves are the best way to go, and it creates a nice relaxing feeling. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention the vendor I've used for the past 7 years or so.

For leaves I use Z-eclectic, is that who you are referring to? He is my second favorite but for leaves he's the best and is usually pretty generous with samples as well
