Acetaminophen 44 175
what is it and what does it do?
It is a pain reliever (analgesic) and a fever reducer (antipyretic). It is used to relieve headaches, fevers, and minor aches and pains.
It is one of the active ingredients found in most Tylenol's and other pain reliever medications.
Too much of it is known to cause liver damage.
The exact pill you are describing is the generic form of extra strength tylenol, and contians 500 mg of Acetominophen.
Also known as "Paracetamol". It's an analgesic found in many pain-relief medications (e.g: Tylenol). It also acts as an antipyertic (Against fever) and has a weak anti-inflammatory action. It is the substitute for Aspirin in children (Aspirin shouldn't be given to children as it may have serious side effects), in people with a peptic ulcer (Stomach ulcer) (They can't take Aspirin as it will make their condition worse), and in people who bleed easily or woman in their period (Since Aspirin also has an anti-thrombotic effect, and could worsen the bleeding).
