Thanks Dr. Boris - This should be a very helpful tool for those of us who like to follow the threads to which we have contributed. In particular, it's nice to know when someone has commented, positive or negative, on your ideas. Again, thanks for another great innovation!
That's ingenious!! Great ideas. This forum keeps getting better and better.

Brilliant!

Everyone can see who is tagged for each thread
I might disable the user tagging feature unless people use it. We'll see how it goes, it could be useful.

@drboris
i felt like a moviestar. click on something and i am alerted that my name is at the top of a thread. but i can see someone becoming annoyed with it. I dont think i will though(i can be a ham at times)

Awesome, I loved the @user_name_mention, but I think it's much easier to quote in certain circumstances. Can someone do me a favor and quote this message just so I can see if it works and I get a notice?
#drborisisawesome;
Edit: Should I be able to click on the above hashtag?
I have a newbie question. When I first log on I see, for example - 3 tags or quotes. I go to the first one to read it and then can't seem to get back to the list of the other 2.
Any suggestions?
I usually see the rest when I press the back button in the browser. Or go to your profile--you'll see the "Mentions" and "Quotes" there.

@Fireplaces: really, i could not find my way back at first either. and, i know u r very computer literate also. it takes a full two weeks of a pattern/activity for the brain to have it down exactly. (i can find a source. i reckon. i researched this when teaching an elder to walk again after physical and mental trauma.)
now, i can find me way around, just fine.
oh, and the days u have tests and all, i would not count. u will get it. i am not kidding, i found it easiest to click on my screen name at top right of pages in beginning.

Thanks River and Tin, I will get there. I love learning new software. Designing, testing, and documenting software used to be my job; granted it was 10 years ago. Now writing programs, that I could never do.
@all this is a very nice feature. One, so it doesnt spam my email with notifications. Two, i dont have to keep checking my replies to see if another user has posted.

And if someone gave you a pile of gold, you'd probably complain that it was too heavy.
Just loving this forum.Great work by admin and the mods.
Reallycool feature. I never even thought about something Luke this. Make me feel useful when I am notified that someone paid attention to my words. Cool cool cool.
where are the notifications, as in which menu do i have to look in to find them? I stumbled upon them the other night but have not since been able to find them again. Also when i went to the thread where I was supposedly mentioned I could not find mention of me anywhere, is there any way to go directly to where you have been mentioned? Thanks!

I like this feature, it allowed me to correct some major typos in a few of my previous posts lol. Because people had no idea what I was saying and I was notified when they quoted me.
