New requirements to access the Senior Members' area

@brandon7467 -- You're a bit mixed up (easy to do, because it's confusing). It's not that a person can only receive a limited amount of likes. It's that the people GIVING them only have 5 'LIVE' ones per day. 'LIVE' ones meaning those that actually add points to one's rep score.

@UGAgal -- We all start with 10 rep points that are just given to us.

What you are Not getting is that you can have 20 likes. But only seems one or two counted on your statics page.

I can give out 5 likes per 24 hours. After that any post I like doesn't count towards the posters pip score. So even though I liked their post, it doesn't count for anything. Just the way the system is set up. And makes since. So yeah you have received likes that hasn't counted. You get 1 like pt for each like and 2 pts for each help. So somewhere some of your likes hasn't counted,

@gazbg -- Not sure, but it seems you are getting your total number of likes/helpfuls mixed up with your rep score. Those are two different things. Not ALL of your likes and helpfuls will count towards your rep score. If someone has used all 5 of their "live" likes/helpfuls and they click on a post of yours, that like/helpful will NOT count towards your rep score.

@gazbg -- You'll be surprised at how fast they build up. Make sure you rate other people's posts. Folks are more likely to rate yours, if you are rating posts, too.

I guess either four of your likes counted or two of your helpfuls, or some combo thereof. I know it seems like it'll take forever, but really.. it doesn't. Bro I joined dec 2010 and look where I'm at. I didn't even start posting till bout 3 months ago. You'll definately get there. Patience is a virtue. And to be honest the senior member forum isn't quite what it's cracked up to be.JMO

This is very true, and an important point for new members to see.

Members like to throw out random percentages, I've seen 92, 98, etc., so average, it's estimated over 95% (probably higher) of the forum content is located in the public areas, the areas everyone has access too.

For new members, it's important to realize the Senior area does not contain the holy grail. It is not a magical land where once you achieve access, your postman, Fed Ex, DHL, letters, packages and envelopes will arrive on your doorstep bringing you you're hearts desire for the low low price of $50.

Does it contain useful information? Maybe. Depends on your medical needs.

Is access to the Senior area going to solve all your problems? No.

You have to go through the initiation.

@gazbg, if you have all the requirements, a little notification will pop up at the top directing you straight to the senior forum, it may take a few hours to show up (the forum, not the notification). It'll be in the same place your 55 post notification was.
