    Default Warfarin/Ibprofen 800

I have run out of my Warfarin (coumadin) until i can get a hold of my doctor, would it be a good idea to to take an Ibprofen 800 in it's stead? I was only on 1 mgs of Warfarin to help keep a Catheter line clean

Warfarin is quite different from Ibuprofen especially in its action. Warfarin is a blood thinner while Ibuprofen is an analgesic.

If your doctor is out of town or unable to be reached, you may want to get hold of another doctor for the meantime to prescribe you what you need, especially if you have your prescription with you on warfarin. Avoid taking anything not prescribed to you because of adverse effects with your condition and other medications that you may be taking.

    Hope this helps.
